Mouser Electronics, the industry-leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking a new 16-channel digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices (ADI) that delivers enhanced performance, efficiency, and programmability in optical networking and automation applications.

Mouser announced today that it is now stocking the LTC2688 SoftSpan™ digital-to-analog converter (DAC).

The ADI LTC2688, available from Mouser Electronics, is a 16-channel, 16-bit DAC with an integrated precision reference for improved output voltage accuracy.

This DAC provides five independently programmable channels, each with a range from 0V to ±15V.

Additionally, the LTC2688 guarantees monotonic stability and has a built-in rail-to-rail output buffer that can source or sink up to ±20mA.

The LTC2688 also provides an external reference for additional range options and an analog multiplexer to simplify pin voltage, load current, and junction temperature measurements. The Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and MICROWIRE™ compatible 3-wire serial interfaces operate at logic levels down to 1.71V and clock speeds up to 50MHz.

The LTC2688 is supported by the DC2873A-B evaluation board, also available from Mouser.

The DC2873A-B becomes a fully functional evaluation board when paired with the required DC2026C demo board, enabling designers to configure and control the onboard LTC2688 DAC using ADI's Analysis, Control, Evaluation (ACE) software.
