Chungbuk Technopark participated in the Semiconductor Expo to introduce semiconductor enterprise support projects and announced plans for industry development.

Chungbuk TP participated in the 2021 Semiconductor Expo held at COEX in Samsung-dong, Seoul from the 27th to the 29th.

At this exhibition, Chungbuk TP introduced projects including semiconductor industry development plans as a next-generation growth driver, recruitment of participating companies for reliability-based utilization support projects, advancement of semiconductor convergence component innovation platform linkage, and establishment of advanced packaging platforms for system semiconductors.

Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungbuk TP are implementing financial support and regulatory exemptions, innovation projects, and other initiatives to foster the semiconductor industry in Chungbuk, providing support of up to 13.3 billion won per company. Additionally, they are offering benefits including national and local tax reductions. Through these efforts, they are working on establishing semiconductor packaging and testing hubs, strengthening semiconductor industry networks and cultivating specialized workforce, and enhancing semiconductor technology and market competitiveness.

The advanced packaging platform construction project for system semiconductors aims to strengthen post-process technology competitiveness and innovation ecosystem for system semiconductors. It plans to invest 260 billion won over seven years from 2023 to 2029 to develop world-class post-process technology innovation platforms and achieve 1 trillion won in post-process sales. To this end, efforts are underway in infrastructure support and R&D support.

The reliability-based utilization support project is conducted by Chungbuk TP's Semiconductor and IT Center, providing test evaluation and technical support, infrastructure and equipment support, and reliability testing and failure analysis. It supports preliminary review and submission guidance for research institutions and enterprises, and provides enterprise support services for improving reliability and material performance.

The semiconductor convergence component innovation platform linkage advancement project aims to establish a hub for mutual development among companies through advancement of semiconductor convergence component innovation platforms, and carries out technical support and capacity strengthening for companies in the semiconductor convergence component sector.
