BayWare, a global developer, service, and distributor of new and renewable energy projects, has successfully completed its first solar project in Korea and commenced commercial operation as part of its aggressive expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Baiwa RE announced on the 12th that it is continuously developing additional solar and wind power projects, starting with its first 1MW solar project built in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do.

Based on close cooperative relationships with local governments, residents, and businesses, Baiwaal is steadily building a track record of successes by leveraging global expertise accumulated worldwide and specialized local experience.

Kim Chan-soo, Team Leader of the Project Development Team at Baiwa RE Korea, stated, “We completed our first project, albeit a small one, in a remarkably short period following the establishment of our Korean subsidiary in late 2019. I believe this was made possible by the synergy between Baiwa RE’s global expertise and flexible market strategies tailored to each country. We have now successfully completed the sale of our first project. Moving forward, our goal is to expand our pipeline not merely by increasing capacity, but by leveraging diverse solutions such as aquatic and agricultural systems.” "We also plan to provide various solutions to corporate clients that have established ESG goals such as RE100 and carbon neutrality," he said.

Baiwa RE Korea expects its number of employees to increase rapidly to over 20 by the end of the year, so it recently expanded and relocated its office to the Twin City Namsan Building, which is close to Seoul Station.

Bywa RE is actively developing onshore and offshore wind power projects in addition to solar power, and through this, aims to contribute to achieving the 2050 carbon neutrality goal established by the Republic of Korea.
