ABB has expanded its IEC low-voltage switchgear portfolio with the launch of the new three-phase, four-wire NeoGear™.

ABB announced on the 18th that it has expanded its NeoGear switchgear portfolio, featuring digital connectivity that delivers significant safety improvements, performance optimization, real-time condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

Building on its proven NeoGear technology, ABB has further developed the NeoGear, the safest low-voltage switchgear for operators and maintenance engineers. The newly announced NeoGear features an innovative design that eliminates hazardous exposure of live parts and uses 92% fewer busbars than conventional switchgear. It also reduces electrical connections by 90%, increasing switchgear availability.

Arc ignition protection zones provide greater protection for maintenance personnel during routine work and repairs. They also reduce the risk of arcing from mechanical failures, the most serious hazard faced by switchgear operators.

Now applicable worldwide, NeoGear switchboards reduce physical installation space by up to 25% compared to switchboards of the same class. It can increase energy efficiency by up to 20% with less loss in a small installation space.

The recently released 3-phase, 4-wire version and the soon-to-be-released 690V version of NeoGear are attractive solutions for a wide range of markets and industries, including utilities, food and beverage, and infrastructure.
