Infineon Technologies (Korea CEO Seungsoo Lee) is helping customers quickly access AWS, facilitating IoT product development.

Infineon announced on the 14th that it is providing the AIROC™ IFW56810 CCM (Cloud Connectivity Manager) solution that supports the AWS IoT ExpressLink standard and specifications.

This solution enables customers to quickly and easily connect industrial sensors, appliances, irrigation systems, medical devices, and more to Amazon Web Services (AWS).

It also allows novice developers implementing IoT applications to avoid the complex and undifferentiated tasks required to securely connect devices to AWS.

This allows developers to focus more on developing new, innovative products, reducing design effort and shortening time to market.

This CCM solution has received pre-certification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

“Typically, connecting devices to the cloud is a complex task that requires developers to have extensive technical capabilities in Wi-Fi, embedded systems, antenna design and cloud configuration,” said Rob Conant, vice president of software and ecosystem at Infineon.“It was a difficult and time-consuming process that required generating a single code,” he said. “But with this new plug-and-play solution, engineers can easily, quickly, and securely connect large numbers of devices to AWS.”

He added, “Working with AWS allows our engineers to develop products faster and get them to market faster, creating new revenue streams.”
