Schneider Electric (Kim Kyung-rok, Country Manager for Korea), a leader in digital innovation in energy management and automation and named the world's most sustainable company by Corporate Knights in 2021, has been recognized for its contributions to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion among its employees.

Schneider Electric announced on the 20th that it has been selected as a 'Diversity Leaders 2022' company by the Financial Times.

Schneider Electric ranked 66th overall and 5th in the industry sector among a total of 850 global companies selected by the Financial Times this year. Recognized for its ongoing efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for its 128,000 employees, Schneider Electric has been named a winner for three consecutive years, from 2019 to this year.

The Financial Times Diversity Leaders ranking aims to evaluate companies' performance in promoting all kinds of diversity in the workplace. This ranking was determined through an independent survey of over 100,000 employees at companies employing at least 250 people in 16 European countries.

Survey participants were asked questions on the topics of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation (LGBT+) to assess how much they believe their employers promote diversity, and they also had time to evaluate other major companies in their current industries. The 850 companies that received the highest scores will be selected as Diversity Leaders for 2022.

Schneider Electric is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion among its employees. As of this year, women make up 44% of Schneider Electric's workforce. Through its newly announced 'Schneider Electric Impact (SSI)' this year, the company has unveiled sustainable goals to increase the hiring of women from entry-level positions to senior leadership by 2025.

In addition, in January of this year, Schneider Electric was recognized for its sustainability activities and was named a top company in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index for the fourth consecutive year.
