Richard Lind has been appointed as the new CEO of IAR Systems®, a global supplier of software tools and services for embedded development.

The board of I.A.R. Systems Group AB announced on the 22nd that Richard Lind has been appointed as the new CEO.

Richard Lind, a board member of IAR Systems Group AB, has served as interim CEO since October 18, 2021, when the company replaced its previous CEO.

Newly appointed CEO Richard Lind has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in the high-tech sector and has held various executive positions both in Sweden and internationally.

Richard worked at Microsoft for over 17 years, most recently serving as CTO of the IoT division.

He has completed numerous Microsoft training programs including IHM and the Microsoft/Wharton internal MBA program.

Nicolas Hassbjer, Chairman of IAR Systems Group, stated in an official group announcement: "The board knew that we could appoint an excellent CEO. The fact that Richard has already gained insight into the company overall and initiated improvement efforts has already exceeded our expectations. Through careful review, we are confident that the newly appointed CEO Richard is the right person to drive IAR Systems to renewed growth and realize the potential of Secure Thingz."
