Formlabs, Inc., a global leader in the 3D printing field, is taking the lead in the market by strengthening its lineup of the industry's best SLA 3D printers with the 'Form 3+' and 'Form 3B+'.

Formlabs showcased the Form 3+, Form 3B+, and the latest 3D printer material, ESD Resin, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 5 to 7.

The newly released printer is the result of three years of significant improvements to the Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) technology, which Formlabs trademarked in 2019. The Form 3 and Form 3B, featuring LFS technology, have become the world's best-selling 3D printers.

The new Form 3+ and Form 3B+ feature significantly improved print speed, quality, and support removal capabilities, and updated hardware components and software that provide an overall better user experience.

Formlabs is continuously improving the user experience of its products and designed the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ with speed, quality, and workflow efficiency in mind. The Form 3+ and Form 3B+ utilize a powerful high-intensity laser and new material settings to optimize laser exposure and print up to 40% faster than previous models.

The newly released Form 3+ and Form 3B+ include the next-generation Build Platform 2. This platform features Formlabs' patented Quick Release technology, which allows parts to be instantly detached from the build platform using a flexible print surface. Users can quickly and easily remove parts from the print surface in seconds without the need for any tools. This eliminates the need to scrape parts from the build platform as is done with conventional 3D printers, ultimately improving post-processing efficiency and preventing part damage.

Formlabs also announced 'ESD Resin,' the company's first electrostatic dissipation material. This material was developed for applications requiring ESD (Electro Static Discharge) safety components to protect objects and electronic devices sensitive to unregulated electrostatic discharge. As one of the only cost-effective, robust, and high-quality ESD safety materials in the SLA 3D printing industry, the new resin can be utilized in the development of new 3D printing applications in industries such as electronics manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace. ESD Resin is scheduled to be launched in Korea in the second half of this year.
