SKT Supports Financial Sector with Cloud Solution 'TACO'

SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) is applying its self-developed cloud solution to Hana Card's (CEO Kwon Gil-joo) MyData service to enhance customer convenience.
SK Telecom announced on the 20th that it has applied its self-developed cloud container solution, 'TACO (SKT Autonomous Cloud Orchestrator),' to Hana Card's MyData service.
TACO plays a key role in supporting flexible management, such as allowing MyData operators to quickly add new services or update existing services in response to changing market conditions.
When there is a risk of server downtime due to a surge in MyData service access, TACO automatically increases and optimizes the service server capacity on behalf of the administrator to resolve the issue. It also significantly reduces the time it takes to apply new application updates.
SKT’s Kim Myeong-guk, head of cloud business, said, “We expect that Hana Card’s MyData service, which uses TACO, will greatly contribute to service innovation in the financial industry,” and added, “We will expand TACO so that anyone can use it on the public cloud, and ensure that SKT’s digital infrastructure services can contribute to innovation in various industries.”
Meanwhile, Hana Card's MyData service based on TACO has garnered attention as the first in the industry to pass the 'MyData App Functional Suitability Review' hosted by the Financial Security Institute.

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK텔레콤이 3월 21일 서울 광화문 일대에서 열린 대형 K-팝 공연에 AI 기반 네트워크 운영 시스템을 처음 적용해 통신 품질을 관리했다고 밝혔다. 공연 전후 3시간 동안 모바일 데이터 사용량은 12.15TB로 직전 주말 같은 시간대보다 약 2배 늘었다. SK텔레콤은 AI 시스템 ‘A-One’을 활용해 5분 단위, 50m 단위로 트래픽을 감시하며 과부하 가능성에 대응했고, 임시 통신 시설과 현장 인력 운영도 병행했다. 밀집 행사와 외국인 이용 수요가 동시에 늘어나는 환경에서 AI 기반 자율 네트워크 운영의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인한 사례로 해석된다.

ETRI Develops 200Gbps Photodetector… Initiates Localization of Optical Receivers for AI Data Centers
한국전자통신연구원(ETRI)이 채널당 200Gbps급 광신호를 처리하는 광검출기 소자를 국내 최초로 개발했다. 이 소자는 광신호를 전기신호로 바꾸는 부품으로, AI 데이터센터와 5G·6G 통신망의 수신 성능을 좌우한다. ETRI는 70GHz 이상 대역폭과 0.75A/W 이상 광응답도를 구현했고, 칩 후면에 인듐인화물 렌즈를 집적해 광수신 효율과 정렬 편의성을 높였다고 밝혔다. 기술은 OECC 2025에서 발표됐고 최근 국제학술지 ‘Optics Express’에도 게재됐다.
