Infineon helps bring safety applications to market by shortening the design process for automotive, industrial, and other applications where safety and security are critical.

Infineon Technologies announced on the 4th that it is providing a SEMPER Solution Hub that supports the SEMPER™ NOR flash product family.

Because the SEMPER Solution Hub provides all the building blocks necessary to integrate SEMPER NOR Flash into applications, developers can rapidly design safety and security-critical automotive, industrial, and communications systems.

Infineon’s SEMPER NOR flash is the industry’s first non-volatile memory designed for functional safety, and SEMPER Secure won an innovation award in the “Cyber Security and Personal Privacy” category at CES 2022.

Software development kits (SDKs) including production-grade drivers and application code examples are available on the web portal, and the design process can be shortened through the SEMPER Solution Hub.

In addition, it provides microcontroller (MCU) system boards from Infineon and third-party vendors, as well as hardware kits for prototype development, MCUs, and IDEs (Integrated Development Environments).

The supported architecture is Infineon's PSThese include oC™ 6, AURIX™ TC375, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™, etc.

Infineon's SEMPER NOR flash meets automotive quality requirements and has obtained AEC-Q100 certification.

This product features Infineon’s MIRRORBIT™ technology, which enables 2 bits of storage in a single cell.

SEMPER NOR flash, providing up to 400MB/s bandwidth, offers the performance required for “instant-on” applications such as automotive instrument panels and industrial HMI systems.

By applying Infineon’s Endurance Flex architecture, individual partitions can be configured for 25 years of data retention or over 1 million P/E cycles.

For this reason, a single device can be optimized for purposes such as storing code, storing system data, and logging data.
