Moxa, a leading provider of industrial communications and networking solutions focused on industrial network security, has achieved next-generation network security requirements, including advanced IT and OT cybersecurity.

Moxa announced on the 15th that it has become the world's first company to obtain IEC 62443-4-2 certification for industrial network devices under the International Electrotechnical Commission for Electrical Equipment (IECEE) certification body system.

This certification is for the EDS-4000/G4000 series, one of Moxa's next-generation network solutions scheduled for release in March.

Moxa's solutions aim to integrate network and OT cybersecurity with layered, defense-in-depth protection capabilities, as evidenced by IEC 62443-4-2 and IEC 62443-4-1 certifications.

These solutions can handle advanced IT and OT network segmentation for threat prevention, hardened network devices based on the IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity standard, and customized OT deep packet inspection (DPI) to enable industrial intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
