Intel has completed its 12th generation CPU lineup by launching enthusiast-grade mobile CPUs that provide light and thin laptops.

Intel held an online press conference on the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors on the 24th.

Choi Won-hyuk, Senior Vice President who gave the presentation at the event, stated that the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors P-series and U-series, released on the 23rd (US time), feature enthusiast-grade performance, exceptional productivity, and cutting-edge platform technology as a scalable architecture for all laptop segments.

The newly released P series and U series feature a new core architecture with up to 14 cores (6 performance cores and 8 efficient cores) and integrated Intel® Iris® Xe graphics with up to 96 EUs.

In addition, it supports a wide range of memory including DDR5/LPDDR5 and DDR4/LPDDR4, and 3D rendering performance has been doubled for creators requiring up to 70% faster multi-threaded performance and mobility.

Along with this, it delivers exceptional productivity with up to 30% faster photo editing speeds, and features built-in Intel® Y- for improved wireless performance, responsiveness, and stability.It supports Pi 6E (Gig+).

In addition, it is equipped with Thunderbolt™ 4, which provides the fastest, easiest, and most stable connectivity to any dock, display, or accessory, and Intel IPU 6.0, which provides high image quality and power efficiency for enhanced video conferencing.

Accordingly, manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and LG, as well as Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and NEC, are scheduled to release more than 250 products equipped with 12th generation Intel Core P series and U series processors starting in March of this year.

Executive Director Choi Won-hyuk stated, “With the announcement of the P series and U series, the 12th generation processor lineup is complete,” adding, “These products are mainstream laptops and are expected to drive the PC market this year and improve Intel’s market share.”
