The Korea Carbon Nano Industry Association (Chairman Park Jong-soo) is actively stepping forward to fulfill its inherent role in 2022 to enable carbon nano companies to unite and cooperate with one another.

The Carbon Association held its '2022 Annual General Meeting' at the Next Generation Convergence Technology Research Institute in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on the 23rd and passed resolutions on the 2022 business plan and major agenda items.

At the general meeting, the main agenda items—business performance for 2021, settlement of income and expenditure for 2021, business plan for 2022, budget for 2022, amendment of articles of incorporation, and appointment and resignation of executives—were submitted and approved as originally proposed.

As major projects for 2022, reports were given on the operation of the 'Carbon Material Convergence Alliance,' a consultative body for solidarity and cooperation to expand demand and create new markets in the carbon material industry; the 'Nano Convergence Industry Field Demand-Based Demonstration,' a program linked to commercialization through the demonstration of nano products; and the hosting of 'Carbon Korea' to promote achievements in the carbon material convergence industry.

In addition, at the general meeting, Deck Carbon Chairman Kim Kwang-soo, Ajin Industry CEO Seo Jung-ho, and Sungwoo Hitech CEO Lee Moon-yong, who are currently serving as directors, were appointed as vice chairmen, while Korean Air Managing Director Jung Hyun-bo and LG Chem Managing Director Yang Cheol-ho were newly appointed as vice chairmen.

Park Jong-soo, President of the Carbon Association, stated, “Over the past year since its founding, the association has [conducted] the government’s carbon nano [fusion]“We have made great efforts to respond to complex industrial policies and to create and revitalize the industrial ecosystem,” he said. “Going forward, we will continue to create an environment where excellent small but strong companies in the carbon nano convergence field can grow sustainably, and we will strengthen the association’s fundamental role to enable carbon nano companies to unite and cooperate through the expansion of membership and active exchange.”

Meanwhile, the Carbon Association plans to relocate to the Korea Science and Technology Center (Gangnam) in April.
