SK Materials (CEO Lee Yong-wook), a materials investment company, is opening the Advanced Materials Sejong Campus, which will perform core functions such as advanced materials R&D and production, and is aiming to become a global top-tier company in the materials technology field.

On the 27th, SK Materials held an opening ceremony for the Advanced Materials Sejong Campus, which will serve as SK Materials' core R&D and integrated quality analysis service.

The opening ceremony was attended by SK Materials CEO Lee Yong-wook, SK Trichem CEO Oh Jong-jin, SK Materials Performance CEO Ha Jeong-hwan, and key executives and employees.

The Advanced Materials Sejong Campus is a comprehensive research center that will perform all core functions of materials quality and technology, from basic (advance) R&D, product development R&D, quality analysis, and production.

A total of four corporations, including SK Materials, SK Materials' Materials Research and Analysis Group, SK Trichem, and SK Materials Performance, will share the space and are expected to explore various synergies through close collaboration.

The building has a total of five floors, including the Global Tech Center and Quality Analysis Center. It consists of departments that perform leading functions in the quality and technology of advanced materials, and in addition, it has office space, a fitness center, a cafe lounge, a restaurant, and other employee lounges and convenience facilities.

SK Materials CEO Lee Yong-wook said, “With the establishment of this advanced materials Sejong Campus, a good environment has been created for SK Materials to further dedicate itself to securing next-generation technologies as a global top-tier materials technology company.” He added, “We expect that this place will become the center of SK Materials’ future growth engine and the R&D hub for advanced materials in Korea based on differentiated technological competitiveness.”
