A security solution that combines Infineon Technologies' OPTIGA™ Trust M Express and CIRRENT™ Cloud ID enables each device to have a unique security ID to ensure trust in IoT systems.

Infineon Technologies AG announced on the 13th the launch of a high-end security solution combining OPTIGA™ Trust M Express and CIRRENT™ Cloud ID.

This hardware trust anchor makes it easy to connect IoT devices to the cloud.

Infineon said OPTIGA Trust M Express supports hardware-based security of IoT devices at all stages, from production to cloud provisioning and field deployment.

The cryptographic ID of the OPTIGA Trust M Express is provisioned in an authenticated and secure Infineon fab and is protected from exposure at any stage during the product's lifetime.

Infineon said, “This solution eliminates the need for OEMs to build and manage highly secure production facilities for device personalization.”“This will streamline production flow, reduce time to market and reduce costs,” he added.

Infineon offers CIRRENT Cloud ID together with OPTIGA Trust M Express.

CIRRENT Cloud ID is a cloud service that automates IoT device certificate registration and device provisioning in the product cloud.

“By combining these two solutions, developers can easily and securely provision and connect IoT devices to the cloud, while enhancing security right from the production stage,” Infineon said. “As a result, the cloud onboarding process for IoT devices is streamlined, eliminating the need for manual intervention and preventing human error.
