SK Telecom will strengthen its content production capabilities and strengthen cooperation and inter-industry links with domestic and international media studios through its VFX (Visual Effects)-based media content production facility, 'TEAM Studio.'

SKT announced that it has established 'TEAM Studio', a VFX (Visual Effects)-based media content production center, in Pangyo 2nd Techno Valley. This studio has two 'LED Wall Stages', a U-shaped 'Volume Stage' and an 'XR Stage' measuring approximately 930 pyeong.

SKT announced that it will lead hyper-collaboration between team studios and various domestic and international studios through wired and wireless network infrastructure.

SKT believes that sharing the resources and capabilities of content production studios by utilizing ICT infrastructure such as 5G, AI, and cloud will become key to the future global media market.

We plan to form a consortium with major domestic LED wall studios and share each studio's infrastructure and resources.

SKT announced that it collaborated with AOTO's 'LED screen' and Brompton's 'image processor' to produce the 'LED wall'.

By utilizing the 'LED Wall' stage, you can instantly create realistic backgrounds or environments without the need for chroma key background shooting. In particular, the background graphics implemented by the LED wall track the movement of the camera taking the picture and can also control the direction and flow of light.

Additionally, stages can be selected and utilized according to the characteristics of the content, and can also be used for live broadcast content such as live streaming seminars and conferences through real-time transmission.

Meanwhile, SKT added that it will combine AI media solutions such as 'SUPERNOVA' to restore the image quality of old videos to ultra-high definition using AI, and 'AIPP (AI Post Production)' to remove subtitles and audio from copyrighted videos with the LED wall of the team studio.

Kim Hyuk, head of SKT Global Media Support, said, “Team Studio will contribute to the development of the media content industry by incorporating SKT’s core technologies such as wired and wireless, AI, and cloud,” and “Based on this, we will strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign media studios and inter-industry links to lead the global media content production paradigm.”
