Analog Devices (ADI) is pleased to announce that its switch products featuring long-reach Ethernet connectivity for industrial automation are now available through Mouser, helping developers secure related products.


Mouser Electronics announced today that it is now stocking the ADIN2111 2-port Ethernet switch from Analog Devices (ADI).

Expanding its robust portfolio of 10BASE-T1L Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) solutions, Analog Devices' ADIN2111 product provides a complete single-chip solution for 10BASE-T1L line, ring, and daisy-chain networks.

This switch product can reduce power consumption by up to 50% and PCB space by up to 75% compared to discrete implementations.

Additionally, the ADIN2111 switch adds Long Reach Ethernet connectivity to controllers, sensors, and actuators, enabling more efficient and sustainable building management capabilities.

The Analog Devices ADIN2111 Ethernet switch, available from Mouser Electronics, features analog circuitry that includes two integrated physical layer (PHY) cores, a Media Access Control (MAC) interface, SPI, I/O clock buffering, and a flexible solution for network topologies supporting a maximum node-to-node distance of 1 km.

Also, the 4-wire SPI for communication with the host is OPEN It can be configured as Alliance SPI or generic SPI, both modes supporting optional data protection mode or cyclic redundancy check (CRC).

This integrated switch with SPI operates at 10 Mbps full duplex with 16 MAC addresses supported for frame forwarding and SPI-accessible MDIO memory map functionality.

The ADIN2111 product allows a range of up to 1,700 m with only 77 mW of power consumption, and its two PHY cores exhibit a 1 V or 2.4 V swing during data transmission on a 1.8 V to 3.3 V supply voltage.

This device can automatically forward traffic between two Ethernet ports without external intervention.

The ADIN2111 switch is ideal for industrial building and factory automation equipment, edge sensors and actuators, condition monitoring, and machine connectivity. The device is supported by the EVAL-ADIN2111EBZ evaluation board, also available from Mouser.
