Intel Foundry Services (IFS) is establishing the IFS Cloud Alliance to support cloud design, leveraging massive computing scalability to improve chip design efficiency and shorten time-to-market for foundry customers.

Intel Foundry Services (IFS) announced today the next phase of its accelerator ecosystem program launch, forming the IFS Cloud Alliance.

The Alliance's initial members include leading cloud providers Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, as well as key electronic design automation (EDA) companies.

Through the Cloud Alliance, IFS works with partners to ensure EDA tools are optimized to leverage the scalability of the cloud while meeting the requirements of Intel's PDK (process design kit).

This partnership with leading EDA providers Ansys, Cadence, Siemens EDA, and Synopsys will provide customers with a secure and scalable path to adopt their preferred EDA tools and workflows in a cloud environment.

The result is on-demand hardware on foundry platforms that will enable designers to handle larger workloads with better resource management, time-to-market, and result quality.

In February 2022, IFS announced that it will be launching a foundryWe launched an accelerator ecosystem program to help customers smoothly implement their ideas for silicon products.

The IFS Accelerator leverages industry-leading capabilities through close collaboration with industry-leading companies to accelerate customer innovation on Intel's foundry platform products.

The IFS Accelerator provides a comprehensive toolset, including proven EDA solutions, silicon-certified intellectual property (IP), and design services, enabling customers to focus on generating unique product ideas.
