The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI, Acting President Kim Nam-gyun), a government-funded research institute specializing in electricity under the National Research Council of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and ICT, has been recognized for its efforts to spread a culture of transparency and integrity along with eco-friendly electrical technology.

The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute announced on the 29th that it had received ISO 37001 certification, an international standard anti-corruption management system, from the Korea Productivity Center Certification Institute.

ISO 37001 is an international standard established in 2016 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to systematically prevent the occurrence of corruption within organizations. In Korea, a certification system was introduced and implemented in April 2017.

It refers to an optimized system that can prevent corruption and bribery risks that may arise during the operation of an organization in advance and systematically manage management transparency and integrity.

As part of its efforts to establish an ethical management system, KERI has been diligently pursuing ISO 37001 certification since last year. The institute has undergone thorough internal organizational diagnosis, planning, implementation, inspection, and improvement procedures. Following this, the institute's anti-corruption management system has met international standard requirements through a rigorous certification review.was officially recognized.

KERI Acting President Kim Nam-gyun stated, “We will continue to develop clean, eco-friendly electrical technology externally and internally promote a transparent and honest organizational culture to become a research institute trusted and loved by the public.”

KERI plans to further solidify its anti-corruption management system within the organization through continuous improvement efforts in areas vulnerable to corruption and to achieve the highest level of integrity in public institutions. Furthermore, in the area of safety and health, KERI is committed to preventing industrial accidents and creating a safe work environment, with the goal of obtaining certification under the international standard "Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001)".
