Synology has launched new storage products for small and medium-sized businesses with 10GbE upgrade options and expandability to add 10 additional drives.

Synology announced the new 5-bay Synology DiskStation DS1522+ on the 30th.

This solution is the latest compact solution in the Plus family of all-in-one storage devices, helping users professionally secure data, IT infrastructure, and physical assets of all sizes while supporting a host of business, IT management, and production-line applications.

The DS1522+ can be integrated as a basic storage solution for small deployments or as an edge node used in multi-site deployments. Based on DiskStation Manager (DSM) 7.1, the DS1522+ features powerful data management features, comprehensive file sharing, collaboration, and video surveillance capabilities.

With two DX517 expansion units, you can expand the drive bays to up to 15, allowing the fully expanded DS1522+ to reliably host massive amounts of data while minimizing desktop or shelf space. A new network upgrade slot allows for an anytime upgrade to 10GbE, and two built-in M.2 2280 NVMe slots can significantly enhance storage performance.
