IAR announced today the latest version of IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas' latest multicore MCU device, the RH850, and the IAR Build Tool for RH850.

IAR Embedded Workbench for RH850 and IAR Build Tools for RH850 have been upgraded to the latest technology platform, including the latest C/C++ language (library support for the C++17 language standard), enabling developers to handle more complex tasks.

The latest release also includes improvements to the 64-bit IDE & editor with support for Dark Mode, and streamlined cross-platform IAR build tools for automated build and test processes on Ubuntu, Red Hat, or Windows-based frameworks.

The new version provides extensions for Visual Studio Code to meet the growing needs of our customers.

This extension requires the latest version of the IAR Embedded Workbench available from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.Seamlessly compatible with IAR build tools for Chi and RH850.

The latest version of the IAR toolchain for RH850 supports all latest versions of the Renesas RH850, a high-performance, scalable automotive multicore MCU.
