SK Hynix has selected DITi Co., Ltd. as its 6th generation technology innovation enterprise, expanding the scope of co-growth with SK Hynix over two years, including support for equipment technology development.

SK Hynix held a 6th generation technology innovation enterprise agreement signing ceremony with DITi Co., Ltd. at its Icheon Campus on the 19th.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kwak Noh-jung, President and CEO of SK Hynix, along with Park Jong-chul, CEO of DITi, and representatives from 4th and 5th generation technology innovation enterprise partner companies.

SK Hynix announced that it selected DITi as a technology innovation enterprise this year to secure technological capabilities in the medium to long term.

DITi, selected this time, is a materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) innovation company with technological capabilities applicable to new processes and core equipment technology development capabilities. It will conduct joint technology development with SK Hynix over the next two years.

Additionally, DITi will receive comprehensive support from SK Hynix including interest-free technology development loans and management consulting.

In particular, as global display competition intensifies, the selection of DITi, which operates display equipment as its main business, as a technology innovation enterprise is expected to be highly beneficial in opening new pathways into the semiconductor sector.

Through technology development collaboration with DITi, SK Hynix is expected to create social value (SV) in co-growth in broader areas, including providing new business opportunities to domestic companies whose mainstay operations are outside the semiconductor sector.

The Technology Innovation Enterprise program, which has continued for six years as of this year, is a signature co-growth program of SK Hynix.

It identifies small and medium-sized enterprises with technological capabilities but lacking growth infrastructure and provides benefits related to technology and management. Partner companies selected for this program are given the opportunity to jointly develop technologies and products with SK Hynix and can receive interest-free loans for development funds. During the development period, they also receive consulting support for operational efficiency.

Through its Technology Innovation Enterprise program, SK Hynix created as much as 67.3 billion won in social value last year alone, greatly contributing to driving the growth of the domestic semiconductor industry.

SK Hynix President Kwak Noh-jung stated, "While uncertainties surrounding the semiconductor industry, such as the prolonged pandemic, remain, we will not spare support for the growth and development of domestic partner companies.
