Roswell International recently signed a supply contract worth 28.9 billion won, officially kicking off mass production orders.

Roswell International announced on the 1st that its subsidiary, Jiangsu Roswell, has signed a supply contract for 1.41 million sets of 1Gbps PON smart home terminal systems with ZTE, a world-leading telecommunications equipment company.

Through this order, Jiangsu Roswell plans to complete the delivery of systems worth 150 million yuan (28.9 billion won) in stages by the end of December 2022.

Previously, Jiangsu Roswell was selected as a supplier for ZTE's smart home terminal systems on December 29, 2021, and signed a supply contract worth 1.6472 trillion won on a cumulative basis over five years until the end of April 2027.

A representative from Roswell International stated, “In the first half of this year, along with registering as a ZTE partner, we successfully completed the construction of a new dedicated factory for the production of smart home information terminal systems and pilot production for mass production verification.” “The delivery of the initial order of 100,000 sets of GPON terminal systems, which was secured on May 27, was also completed without any setbacks while meeting ZTE’s quality standards,” the company stated.

Jiangsu Roswell has completed the execution of the first phase of investment for a dedicated production line for smart home terminals, and as of the end of July, it is operating 6 SMT lines, 4 welding lines, and 4 assembly lines designated by ZTE.

In addition, by establishing software-based smart manufacturing processes such as ERP, PLM, OA, and WMS that meet ZTE's production, process, and quality standards, and by introducing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), we have also obtained the ZTE Global Supplier Code certification.

Heo Yi-hwa, Representative of Roswell International's Korea office, stated, "The ZTE smart home terminal project has entered full swing by obtaining mass production verification and quality certification through a thorough six-month preparation process following the signing of a large-scale supply contract with ZTE late last year," adding, "We will secure a production capacity of 20 million sets per year by diversifying production items along with full-scale mass production."

Meanwhile, Jiangsu Roswell is expanding its 5G communication-based network solution business as a supplier of ZTE's smart home terminal systems. The company plans to strengthen its position as a "leading company in next-generation smart IoV automotive systems and solutions" in the field of V2X (vehicle-to-everything communication) smart transportation systems, as well as 5G Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, based on its strategic partnership with ZTE.
