Arm announced its first quarter (April-June) fiscal year 2022 earnings on the 9th.

Arm reported total revenue of $719 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, a 6% year-over-year increase. Quarterly royalty income also increased 22% year-over-year to $453 million, marking the first time quarterly royalty income exceeded $400 million.

Arm's strategy to diversify beyond mobile into markets like automotive and infrastructure is paying off, with strong growth across all new target markets. In Q1, Arm partners shipped 7.4 billion Arm-based chips, a 7% year-over-year increase, achieving a record unit shipment volume. This marks only the fourth time Arm has shipped more than 7 billion Arm-based chips in a single quarter.

Additionally, adjusted EBITDA increased 31% year-over-year to $414 million, and EBITDA margin reached 58%.
