Most eavesdropping prevention measures were limited to manually checking for the installation of eavesdropping equipment. Even with solutions capable of detecting eavesdropping in real time, users could only become aware of abnormal signals after passing through the security company's central monitoring system, making it difficult to respond immediately to information leaks.

LG Electronics announced on the 11th that it is applying an eavesdropping detection solution equipped with a central control system and individual warning systems to business digital signage to reflect the needs of customers sensitive to information security.

LG Electronics has signed a business agreement with security solution company GITSN and will begin launching an eavesdropping detection solution dedicated to LG Electronics digital signage in Korea, the Middle East, and major countries in Asia starting at the end of the third quarter. GITSN is a company recognized for its expertise and technological capabilities, having supplied security solutions to over 280 government agencies and private enterprises.

Products compatible with the eavesdropping detection solution include UHD signage, video walls, and LG LED All-in-One signage, which are mainly installed in workspaces such as conference rooms and control centers. LG Electronics plans to continuously expand compatible models and launch countries, taking into account the demand from customers who prioritize information security.

The eavesdropping detection solution consists of an eavesdropping signal detector and webOS-integrated software. When the detector senses an abnormal signal indicating potential eavesdropping, it notifies the central control system in real time, while simultaneously displaying a warning icon on signage screens via the webOS-integrated software. LG Electronics explained that this allows meeting participants to immediately recognize the eavesdropping situation, enabling a real-time response to prevent further information leakage.
