KT launches a 5G mid-tier plan to reduce consumers' telecommunications expenses.

KT announced on the 11th that it has reported its 5G mid-tier plan '5G Slim Plus' to the Ministry of Science and ICT and will officially launch it on the 23rd of this month.

The 5G mid-tier plan '5G Slim Plus' reported by KT provides 30GB of data monthly for 61,000 won, and is a service that allows users to continue using data at 1Mbps speed after the data is depleted.

Meanwhile, KT announced plans to introduce another 5G mid-tier plan '5G Direct 44' in September, which can be subscribed to through KT Direct without visiting a store.

'5G Direct 44' provides 30GB of data monthly for 44,000 won (available at 1Mbps speed after data is depleted) and can be used without a contract.

KT explained that the 5G mid-tier plan is expected to expand customer choice options and reduce telecommunications cost burdens.

Gu Gang-bon, executive vice president of KT Customer Business Division, stated, "We focused on launching services that take into account customers' usage patterns and benefits," adding, "KT will continue to prioritize customers and launch services going forward."
