Mouser announced on the 22nd that it has recently begun construction on a new three-story building with an area of approximately 39,000 square meters to expand its logistics center located in southern Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

The new building is planned to feature a triple-mezzanine floorplan, state-of-the-art automation facilities, and a skybridge-style passageway connecting it to the existing logistics center building.

The additional facilities and equipment that Mouser will acquire are expected to solidify its position as a provider of the most advanced warehousing, order processing, and delivery services in e-commerce.

By the spring of 2022, Mouser had installed 120 Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), the largest number in the world. A VLM is a massive vertical filing cabinet that uses shelves and automatic extraction devices to bring parts to an employee's workstation. This increases operational efficiency by increasing available space and reducing employees' walking time by more than 45%.

In addition, Mouser’s logistics center is equipped with Ultipack and I-Pack machines, sophisticated automation systems for product packaging and labeling capable of processing up to 14 orders per minute, as well as OPEX Perfect Pick and AutoStore systems to enhance all processes.
