Silicon Labs (Country Manager Baek Woon-dal), a leader in intelligent, secure wireless technology for a more connected world, has expanded its portfolio for Matter, Wi-SUN, Amazon Sidewalk, and Wi-Fi 6 as an IoT leader.

Silicon Labs recently held its annual Works With developer conference and launched four new products.

The launched portfolio includes: △a complete Matter development solution providing Wi-Fi-based Matter, Thread-based Matter, Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) commissioning, and Matter Bridge support for Zigbee and Z-Wave; △the first end-to-end development platform supporting full connectivity for Amazon Sidewalk; △the 'FG25', a new flagship SoC for Wi-SUN, and the 'EFF01' power amplifier front-end module (FEM); and △Silicon Labs' first Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) SoC family,;SiWx917' is.

The Matter solution portfolio consists of Silicon Labs' 2.4GHz wireless MG24 SoC, which supports Thread-based Matter as a single-chip solution. The MG24 provides an effective range of up to 200m indoors via OpenThread, while also supporting Bluetooth commissioning for new devices on the same chip. The FG25 SoC, a flagship SoC for low-power wide area networks (LPWAN) such as Wi-SUN and other proprietary sub-GHz protocols, combines a powerful ARM Cortex-M33 processor with the largest embedded memory among Silicon Labs' SoC products. This large pool of embedded memory can be combined with Silicon Labs' scalable Wi-SUN Field Area Network (FAN) Border Router 1.1 to scale FG25 deployments to hundreds of thousands of nodes.

The 'SiWx917', a new ultra-low power security SoC product combining Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy technology, is a single-chip solution that supports Matter. It includes an integrated application processor and provides industry-leading energy efficiency, making it ideal for battery-powered or energy-efficient IoT devices capable of always-on cloud connectivity.

Meanwhile, in his keynote speech, CEO Matt Johnson detailed the journey that led to the current IoT era, as well as how Silicon Labs solidified its position as a pure IoT leader through its broad range of technologies, deep expertise, and focus on the IoT wireless market.
