SK Telecom's developer community app, 'DEVOCEAN,' has provided an opportunity for SK affiliated and external developers to communicate with each other.

SK Telecom announced on the 14th that it has launched the app version of 'DEVOCEAN,' a developer community created to facilitate communication between development experts from the SK ICT Family and external development talent.

'Devotion' stands for 'Developers' Ocean' and is a developer community created by SKT last June to facilitate communication between development experts from SK ICT family companies, such as SK Hynix, SK Inc., SK Broadband, and SK Planet, and external development talent.

SKT stated that it is contributing to the spread of a technology community-centered development culture by promoting activities to enhance developer relationships, centered around Devotion.

The updates to the 'Devotion' app include enhanced communication features, improved accessibility compared to the existing website, and the addition of a feature that allows users to write posts directly on various topics. For example, on the 'Development Stories' channel, developers can write posts sharing their concerns or know-how from the development process and communicate by posting comments and replies, while they can also share new updates related to the development ecosystem in 'News'.

In addition, a 1:1 messaging feature with specific developers has been introduced. SKT added, “Users can actively communicate with many experts active in ‘Devotion’ and expand their knowledge and networking.”

Ahn Jung-hwan, Head of Corporate Culture at SKT, stated, “We hope the launch of the ‘Devotion’ app will facilitate communication among internal and external developers within the SK ICT Family,” adding, “SKT will contribute to the development of the development ecosystem by creating a leading development culture.”
