NVIDIA expands partnership with Oracle to introduce AI to its cloud infrastructure.

NVIDIA announced on the 19th a multi-year partnership with Oracle, stating that it would collaborate to bring the entire NVIDIA accelerated computing stack, from GPUs to systems and software, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

OCI is adding tens of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs to its capacity, including the A100 and the upcoming H100. Combined with OCI’s AI cloud infrastructure consisting of bare metal, cluster networking, and storage, it provides a broad and easily accessible portfolio of options for large-scale AI training and deep learning inference.

NVIDIA and Oracle stated that they have been working together for years to provide services to enterprises through accelerated computing instances and software available via OCI.

They also added that the expanded partnership features the full NVIDIA AI Platform available on OCI instances, designed to accelerate AI-based innovation across a wide range of industries to better serve customers and support sales.

NVIDIA AI Enterprise, the NVIDIA AI platform software, includes processing engines essential for each stage of the AI workflow, ranging from data processing and AI model training to simulation and large-scale deployment.

NVIDIA stated that this enables organizations to develop predictive models and automate business processes, as well as use applications such as conversational AI, recommendation systems, and computer vision.

The two companies plan to provide future releases of NVIDIA AI Enterprise available on OCI, enabling customers to easily access NVIDIA's scalable, accelerated security platform for end-to-end AI development and deployment.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA Clara™, a medical AI and HPC application framework, will also be launched soon, and they are collaborating on Oracle Cerner, a new AI-accelerated product for healthcare that encompasses analytics, clinical solutions, operations, and patient management systems.
