The Internet of Things (IoT) market is utilized across all aspects of daily life through the combination of increasing networked devices and AI, and has led various innovative technologies as a future convergence technology. The AIoT International Exhibition, which provided an opportunity to share new products and R&D achievements from major domestic companies and examine the latest AIoT trends, has successfully concluded.

The Intelligent Internet of Things Promotion Week (2022 AIoT Week Korea), hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and held from Wednesday, October 19 to Friday, October 21 to promote the Internet of Things (IoT) and enhance competitiveness, has come to an end.

At this AIoT International Exhibition, over 160 domestic and international companies participated and introduced intelligent Internet of Things services in various fields such as cities and safety, daily life (intelligent offices, healthcare, etc.), manufacturing, and logistics.

Chung-Ang University introduced a project to develop smart city energy data collection and processing technologies. It was announced that a system for integrated energy data management by extracting data connectivity between energy elements within a smart city has been successfully demonstrated.

SKT introduced UAM, connectivity, cloud, and on-demand security services centered around NUGU BizCall, and provided a UAM simulation at its booth.

At the 5G Digital Twin Factory booth, a project was explained in which a specialized consortium is formed under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and ICT to conduct demonstrations using digital twins and 5G infrastructure.

BlueDot, a developer of AI-based intelligent image processing and compression technologies, introduced a solution that improves low-quality images to high quality by generating optimal pixels through AI deep learning technology. By optimizing semiconductor designs using its proprietary AI models, BlueDot demonstrated that it can process and deliver high-quality, low-capacity video at high speeds.

Nubilab introduced its AI and big data-based food analysis technology. Its 'Food Scanning' technology has enabled the development of a personalized healthcare system that identifies the type and quantity of food through scanning and converts this data. The company recently secured a Series AI funding round worth 10 billion won. A company representative stated, "By scanning leftovers and collecting data not only in schools and daycare centers but also in companies, it helps reduce overall food waste and contributes to enhancing ESG management."

In addition, ATEC IoT introduced electronic smart labels and smart offices, while Gyeongbuk Technopark explained projects such as the establishment of a foundation for the commercialization of low-power intelligent IoT logistics components. KETI introduced AI decision support software service technology based on edge computing to improve livestock productivity.

In addition, an Intelligent Internet of Things conference and new technology and product presentations were held to gather opinions from relevant industry, academia, and research institutes and explore the future direction of the industry's development. Various side events were held, including the AIoT Global Trends Conference and the AIoT Disaster Safety Showcase.

AImatics unveiled 'aid,' an AI video recognition safe driving platform, and held the Dangerous Driving Challenge, a driving simulation event equipped with AI CAMs. A company official stated, "We achieved results such as a 44% reduction in overall accidents by using 22 recognition functions via the AI CAM to judge and warn drivers of dangerous behaviors in real time."

The Ministry of Science and ICT stated, “As the President said, ‘Digital itself is technology and a revolution,’ the Internet of Things is spreading to all areas and becoming a catalyst for innovation.” "In particular, the hyper-connectivity and intelligence of the Internet of Things will play a role in innovating our lives to be safer and more convenient," and "through this Promotion Week, industry, academia, and research institutes will explore directions for development together, and the government and private sector will join forces to ensure that the Internet of Things does not lose its momentum for convergence, expansion, and innovation," they stated.
