Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong has been promoted to chairman, taking full responsibility for the future of Samsung Electronics.Samsung Electronics held a board meeting on the 27th and decided to promote Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong to Chairman.
Samsung Electronics' board of directors decided to do so, judging that strengthening responsible management, enhancing management stability, and making swift and bold decisions are urgently needed amid worsening global external conditions.
The motion to promote Chairman Lee Jae-yong was proposed by Chairman Kim Han-jo, an outside director, and was approved after discussion by the board of directors.
Meanwhile, Chairman Lee Jae-yong carried out his scheduled schedule without holding a separate event or delivering an inaugural address.
