Element14 is launching over 100 new reed relays from Pickering Electronics.

Element14 announced on the 21st that it has added Pickering Electronics to its comprehensive electromechanical portfolio.

Element14 now offers expedited shipping on over 100 reed relay products from Pickering Electronics, ideal for semiconductor test, ATE systems, test and measurement equipment, instrumentation, electric vehicle test, and renewable energy applications.

Pickering Electronics' high-performance reed relays are designed to the highest standards and undergo rigorous testing to ensure long life and optimal performance.

The company's relays are 100% tested for all operating parameters and feature instrumentation-grade reed switches that have completed 100% thermal cycling testing from -20°C to +85°C to -20°C.

This process is repeated three times to stress test the manufacturing process.

All switch contacts are hermetically sealed to prevent oxidation of the contacts that can occur in conventional open-type relays. Through these procedures, a relay was created that provides a stable lifespan of up to 5x10E9 operations.

Pickering Electronics manufactures the smallest high-voltage reed relays on the market.

For example, the Series 131 boasts a minimum 1.5kV isolation isolation and the world's smallest reed relay footprint, while the Series 120 delivers up to 1 amp @ 20 watts in a 4mm x 4mm pitch.

These ultra-small devices allow designers to fit up to 85% more relays on a printed circuit board (PCB) than typical industry-standard-size relays, providing more switching options when designing demanding test systems.
