Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. (CEO: Sung-chul Eo) was recognized for its efforts to strengthen technology security measures, including separating the internet and business networks and establishing a secure IT infrastructure for remote work.

Hanwha Systems announced that it received the Minister of National Defense's Award for '2022 Defense Industry Technology Protection Merit' at the '2022 Second Half Defense Industry Technology Protection Briefing Session' held at the War Memorial of Korea on the 15th.

Following 2020 and 2021, this year, Hanwha Systems Security Team Leader Choi Hong-joo received the Minister of National Defense's Individual Award for Defense Technology Protection, marking the third consecutive year that Hanwha Systems has received the award.

Hanwha Systems was recognized for its efforts to strengthen technology protection measures, including: △separating the Internet network and defense-only business network in accordance with the Ministry of National Defense's network separation guidelines; △building IT infrastructure that enables work to be performed on a secure network anytime, anywhere as non-face-to-face work expands due to COVID-19; and △replacing all security solutions to actively block technology leaks due to cyberattacks.

In addition, we provide annual defense technology protection training to all executives and employees, and the National Intelligence Service andWe are actively working to enhance our employees' awareness of technology security and cultivate expertise by inviting security experts from the Defense Counterintelligence Command and conducting hacking simulation drills twice a year. Last November, we also trained approximately 60 technology security managers at key partner companies on hacking prevention measures, actively leading the way in strengthening their technology security capabilities.
