60 domestic companies in the vehicle technology sector participated.
Exhibition of innovative technologies including autonomous driving solutions, robots, and electric vehicles

CES 2023, the largest trade show since the COVID-19 outbreak, will feature 60 domestic mobility companies showcasing innovative technologies and the future.

One of the most notable keywords at CES 2023, which runs from January 5th to 8th (local time in the US), is mobility.

A total of 550 Korean companies are participating in CES, with 60 registered in the Vehicle Technology category.

Companies related to autonomous driving include AIMMO (AI data solution), Autonomousa2z (autonomous driving solution), Cellplus Korea (autonomous driving edge computing), HD Hyundai (autonomous ship navigation), HL Clemov (autonomous driving solution), Hyundai Mobis (autonomous vehicles), Newbility (autonomous driving robot), Infiniq (autonomous driving data solution), Mars Auto (autonomous driving system solution for large trucks), Mobilio (autonomous driving robot), Morai (autonomous driving simulation platform), and Nextchip (autonomous driving SoC).

HD Hyundai announced that it will showcase a future of safer and more economical ships based on unmanned and remote digital solutions in the ocean mobility sector.

An HD Hyundai official said, “In order to achieve sustainable future growth, it is necessary to realize the infinite potential of the ocean, a precious resource for humanity,” and added, “Through our participation in CES 2023, we will present a new vision for the future of the maritime era based on the group’s 50 years of experience and differentiated technological capabilities.”

The M Vision TO exhibited by Hyundai Mobis is an autonomous vehicle based on an electrified system.

The four pillars located on the front and sides of the vehicle are equipped with sensors such as cameras, radar, and lidar, as well as new technologies such as e-corner modules and MR (mixed reality) displays.

Inside the Mvision TO, seats that can be folded or rotated are installed to suit the PBV.

HL Mando and autonomous drivingAt this year's CES, autonomous driving specialist HL Clemuv will showcase a wide range of autonomous driving solutions, from Level 2+ to Level 4.

The driving video of the Level 4 Auto Shuttle, which features HL Clemov's autonomous driving solution, is scheduled to be unveiled for the first time at CES 2023 on January 5th.

MORAI will present the latest technology in its simulation platform, MORAI SIM, at CES 2023.

“Through CES 2023, we plan to share Morai’s technology and vision with customers and partners in the global market and strengthen future cooperation,” said Jeong Ji-won, CEO of Morai.

Newbility, an autonomous driving robot company that won the CES 2023 Smart City Innovation Award, will exhibit its autonomous driving robot, "Newbee," developed and manufactured to enable stable autonomous driving even in urban environments.

In an interview with our newspaper, Newbility Vice President Kang Ki-hyeok said that he has been conducting various verifications and that he is providing various services in everyday life based on familiar design and UX. It was reported that the ability to provide this seemed to have led to winning the Innovation Award in the smart city sector.

Automotive sensor companies include AUTOL (lidar), ITOPS AUTOMOTIVE (lidar), and MoveAWheeL (road and vehicle surface condition sensor). In addition, many excellent domestic companies participated, including Daeyoung Chaebi (electric vehicle charging), Etiphos (5G V2X solution), and companies engaged in the vehicle audio, film, and battery businesses.

CES said that it will be the largest ever with 300 companies participating in the mobility sector.

High expectations are high for the exhibition, which will feature the latest autonomous driving technology, electric vehicles, and aircraft for aviation and marine use, including keynote speeches from BMW and Stellantis.
