Vertiv, a specialist in core digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has launched a high-efficiency mid-sized modular UPS that excels at reducing energy use and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Vertiv announced today the launch of its new high-density, modular, transformer-less uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, Vertiv™ Liebert® APM Plus.

The Liebert APM Plus delivers up to 97% efficiency in dual conversion mode and up to 99% in eco mode. Available in capacities from 50 kW to 500 kW, the Liebert APM Plus is available now.

The Liebert APM Plus architecture is designed to optimize energy usage and heat generation, minimizing energy demand and usage of data center air conditioning systems. This helps data centers meet environmental regulatory standards by minimizing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Liebert APM Plus is an upgraded version of Liebert® APM model, suitable for medium to large data centers in telecom, hyperscale, and colocation sectors. Liebert APM Plus has achieved 600mm body width, which is 50% slimmer than previous models without any loss in efficiency. By utilizing ultra-high-density power modules, this reduced footprint makes the Liebert APM Plus an ideal solution for delivering uninterrupted power to critical digital infrastructure applications.

By embedding Vertiv’s unique FlexPower™ technology, Liebert APM Plus can easily and quickly expand system capacity in a modular manner. Each FlexPower™ module automatically and individually controls operation, thereby increasing overall availability.

Liebert APM Plus also reduces mean time to repair (MTTR) by implementing hot-swap design for most critical links. The rugged device can operate in temperatures up to 50°C with auto-derating. The system also offers intelligent monitoring options, and Vertiv™ Environet™ Alert and Vertiv™ LIFE™ service options are also available.
