GRL Selects Teledyne LeCroy Oscilloscopes

Teledyne LeCroy's LabMaster 10 Zi-A oscilloscope is recognized for its rapid compatibility and interoperability testing capabilities, helping Granite River Labs (GRL) meet its test measurements.
Teledyne LeCroy (CEO: Woonjae Lee) announced today that Granite River Lab (GRL) in Taipei, Taiwan, has selected Teledyne LeCroy's LabMaster 10 Zi-A oscilloscope for its latest electrical test bench for USB4® and DisplayPort™ 2.1.
The new DisplayPort 2.1 supports 80 Gb/s link speeds, and the new USB4 version 2.0 specification supports 120 Gb/s using PAM3 signaling.
These two recently announced specifications address the needs of next-generation devices that require faster data transfer via the USB Type-C® connector.
Higher speeds and PAM3 modulation schemes add greater complexity to the testing process for new signals, requiring more measurement capabilities in test labs.
The LabMaster 10 Zi-A oscilloscope provides the industry's fastest and most efficient platform for 'gold suite' physical layer transmitter testing and receiver calibration and testing using the Anritsu MP1900A BERT.
LabMaster 10 Zi-A oscilloscope includes an Intel® Xeon® Gold 6240R 24-core server-class CPU with up to 192 GB of RAM.
By performing the necessary compliance tests using the powerful processing power provided within the oscilloscope, tests can be performed much faster than using a separate computer to perform the measurements.
“We are excited to add the LabMaster 10 Zi-A to our USB4, DisplayPort 2.1, and Thunderbolt compliance test platform,” said Quintin Anderson, GRL co-founder and chief operating officer. “The latest revisions to the USB4, DP2. 1, and Thunderbolt standard specifications require additional testing, and the LabMaster has allowed us to immediately expand our Taiwanese lab’s measurement capabilities.”

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
