With eight automotive and mobility exhibitions scheduled in Korea alone during the first half of 2023, it is expected that visitors will be able to see a variety of future mobility technologies, ranging from advanced technologies such as electric vehicles and autonomous driving to UAM and unmanned submarines.

The automotive industry is undergoing a global paradigm shift toward eco-friendliness, intelligence, and servitization.

On the other hand, while the sales and supply of electric vehicles are increasing, public anxiety and trust regarding batteries and charging remain issues.

With the shutdown and layoffs of employees at Argo AI, doubts are growing about whether autonomous driving will actually be possible in the near future.

An exhibition is planned for the first half of 2023 to resolve questions about this and to showcase technologies that are more advanced than those from last year.

From February 16 to 19, the 'EV CHARGER KOREA' industry exhibition will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan.The event is set to open. This exhibition will focus on certified and verified equipment and technologies necessary for electric vehicle (EV) charging. A wide range of products and technologies related to EV charging will be on display, including rapid, high-speed, mobile, and wireless chargers, as well as fire suppression and operation systems and payment systems. An EV Charging Infrastructure Pavilion will be organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Environment, the Korea Environment Corporation, the Korea Automobile Environmental Association, and the Korea Housing Management Association, providing a venue for meeting buyers related to charging infrastructure.

EV TREND KOREA and InterBattery will be held at COEX in Seoul from March 15 to 17.

EV Trend Korea will be held at Coex Hall C with 450 booths from 150 companies. Exhibits from various fields such as e-mobility, batteries, chargers, infrastructure, and services are introduced, and visitors can also explore the Ministry of Environment's Green New Deal and Carbon Neutrality policy promotional hall.

InterBattery is expected to feature 500 companies and 1,500 booths and will be held in Halls A, B, and D of COEX. As the largest specialized exhibition for the secondary battery industry in Korea, it will showcase a wide range of battery-related products and technologies, spanning from the small-scale mobile market to the energy, automotive, ESS, and large-scale EV markets. Side events include 'The Battery Conference' and seminars by participating companies.

The Seoul Mobility Show will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan from March 30 to April 9. Under the theme of Sustainable, Connected, and Mobility, approximately 150 companies from eight countries are expected to participate in the exhibition. With the hosting of an international conference alongside test drives of eco-friendly and autonomous vehicles as a side event, it is expected that visitors will be able to gain useful information along with various experiences.

As a side event to the Seoul Mobility Show, the 'Automobile Vehicle Materials, Parts, Equipment, Supplies, and Services Exhibition' will also be held from April 3 to 6. This event, abbreviated as 'Auto Manufact,' is an exhibition where visitors can view the entire automotive industry, and its scope has expanded to include technology, production and manufacturing, services, and solutions for manned and unmanned vehicles. It is expected to feature a total of 200 companies and approximately 300 booths.

Automotive World Korea will be held at Coex Hall C from April 12 to 14. At this event, new technological paradigms in the rapidly changing automotive industry market and all the technologies that constitute automobiles will come together in one place. Automotive electronics technologies including software, ADAS, and autonomous driving, eco-friendly automotive technologies including secondary batteries, charging and battery swapping technologies, and automotive lightweighting technologies such as materials, processing equipment, and modules make up the majority of the exhibits.

The 'International Electric Vehicle Expo' will be held from May 2nd through Children's Day at the Jeju International Convention Center and the Jungmun Tourist Complex. Featuring 200 companies and 300 booths, the exhibition offers a range of activities, from outdoor displays to test drives. The International Electric Vehicle Expo aims to foster a shared understanding of the e-mobility and renewable energy industries and drive synergy effects. As an expo playing a leading role in the evolution of various e-mobility industries, such as electric ships and UAM, it is also expected to generate future energy and mobility networks and business opportunities.

The Unmanned Vehicle Industry Expo (UWC) will be held from June 21 to 23 at Halls C and D of COEX, Seoul. The main exhibits include aerial UAVs, including drone components and services; land-based UGVs, including autonomous vehicles, robots, unmanned agricultural machinery, and their components; and marine USVs and UUVs, which combine unmanned vessels, submarines, robots, and their components. This expo is a specialized B2B exhibition visited by representatives from domestic companies such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai, and Doosan, as well as global corporations like Google and Microsoft. It is expected to be attractive to professionals in various business sectors seeking to apply unmanned vehicles, including construction, agriculture, defense, marine, energy, retail, and telecommunications.
