The global value chain remains a critical issue for product production and shipment. At Semicon Korea, the nation's largest semiconductor exhibition, global materials company Merck emphasized the importance of the 'timely and right place' of material supply.

Merck Korea announced on the 1st that it will hold an exhibition and lecture on the theme of sustainable innovative material solutions at Semicon Korea 2023, which is being held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

For this exhibition, Merck’s Semiconductor Materials Business Head Anand Nambia and Delivery Systems & Services Head Kate Di Cass will visit Korea together for the first time in three years since the COVID pandemic. In addition to final packaging, we plan to present a comprehensive solution for the entire semiconductor manufacturing process, including the operation of seven key upstream and downstream units in semiconductor manufacturing, such as doping, patterning, deposition, planarization, etching, and cleaning.

Merck Korea announced that through the Semicon Korea conference, it is sharing digital solutions that accelerate R&D innovation and build a more accurate and faster supply chain by approaching all stages of the semiconductor value chain based on data.

On the afternoon of the first day, February 1, Dr. Safa Koutub Kurt, Executive Director and Head of Operations at Merck Digital Solutions, will give a presentation at the Smart Manufacturing Forum on the topic of 'Data-driven semiconductor manufacturing process optimization and customer collaboration in the era of digitalization'.

On February 3rd, the last day of the conference, an employee working as a data analyst in Merck's Digital Solutions team will hold a mentoring session with university students as part of Semicon Korea's talent development program, sharing the background of how they obtained the opportunity to participate in the Merck GO Global internship program and their special job experiences.

In addition, Merck will display a delivery system supply overview at its booth to reveal its know-how in supplying materials and gases to external sites (large bulk specialty gas supply) by equipping them with everything from gas rooms (BSGS, cabinets, bundles, CK) and plenums (cabinets, VMB) to process equipment, and supplying materials and gases according to the location and time desired by the customer.
