As the semiconductor industry strives for innovation to achieve Moore's Law at advanced nodes, global semiconductor company STMicroelectronics has been named a global innovator.

STMicroelectronics (ST) announced on the 27th that it has been selected as one of the Top 100 Global Innovators 2023.

ST invests 13.5% of its 2022 revenues in R&D, employs over 9,000 R&D staff, and collaborates extensively with leading research institutes and corporate partners worldwide. ST's Innovation Office focuses on identifying opportunities and leading in new and existing technology areas while maintaining competitive advantage by linking emerging market trends with internal technical expertise.

It is the foundation upon which we work with our customers and partners to develop unique technologies and products that, in turn, provide solutions for a sustainable future,” said Alessandro Cremonesi, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at ST. “Being named a Top 100 Global Innovator five times is a testament to the high quality of ST’s R&D, excellent teamwork, and creativity.”

To better understand the latest innovation trends, this year's report also selected the 50 most frequently cited research organizations on the 2023 Top 100 Global Innovators, including Clarivate's insights on creative activities and scientific discovery. Clarivate assessed these organizations as the global institutions that underpin engineering solution design.

Meanwhile, the Top 100 Global Innovators list, hosted by Clarivate, a global company that transforms the world and connects people and organizations with trusted intelligence, evaluates excellence in consistently and scalably driving innovation and selects the best companies leading the global innovation environment. The list is published annually.
