STMicroelectronics is launching a security solution that combines hardware and software for ready-to-use embedded development, raising expectations that it will dramatically shorten developers' development time.

ST announced on the 9th the STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager, its first microcontroller System-on-Chip (SoC) security solution.

This solution simplifies the development of embedded applications with out-of-the-box protection features. The STM32Trust TEE security manager, first introduced in the new STM32H5 MCUs, allows developers to leverage security services developed according to best practices without having to write or verify their own code.

ST, a key development partner of Arm, supported the development of the Cortex®-M33 core to ensure compliance with the PSA Level 3 security specification.

We have also worked with Microsoft Azure to develop middleware with robust security features, and with ProvenRun to develop the STM32Trust TEE security manager that runs on ProvenRun's ProvenCore-M secure TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) operating system.

ST has already implemented the STM32Trust TEE security manager in the STM32H5 and plans to support its use in other STM32 MCU series in the future.
