ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot that became a program used by 100 million people within two months of its launch, is currently the fastest-growing platform in the world, and as a result, hackers attempting to exploit it are also rapidly infiltrating it.

According to research by Nord VPN, inquiries related to chatbots among posts on the dark web, a community of hackers, increased by a whopping 625% from 120 in January to 870 in February of this year.

The posts they uploaded mainly share methods to spread malicious programs using ChatGPT, such as ChatGPT jailbreaking methods, ChatGPT malware, and using ChatGPT as a phishing tool.

Users need to exercise special caution, as cybercriminals can utilize ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence technology to automatically generate romance scams, malware, or phishing emails that can harm multiple people simultaneously.

Accordingly, Nord VPN recommended that when using ChatGPT, users should △not leave private information, △beware of phishing, and △make it a habit to use antivirus software.
