Lenovo Appoints Shin Gyu-sik as CEO of Lenovo Korea

Shin Gyu-sik, the new CEO of Lenovo Korea, leads the development of the overall Korean business.Lenovo announced that it has appointed Shin Gyu-sik, President of Lenovo Global Technology Korea, as the President of Lenovo Korea effective April 1.
CEO Shin Gyu-sik, who has served as the head of Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) for the past five years, plans to expand on this and lead the overall development of Lenovo’s business in Korea.
Shin Gyu-sik, President of Lenovo Korea, stated, “Lenovo is a global technology leader offering innovative solutions and services from the pocket to the cloud. Lenovo is committed to meeting the needs of each customer, supporting corporate digital transformation, and becoming a trusted partner.”
He also stated, “I am pleased to take on the role of Representative of Lenovo Korea during this important period of growth, and I will do my best to contribute to Lenovo’s development.”
As the Business Head of Lenovo Korea, CEO Shin Gyu-sik provides Lenovo's diverse IT solutions to meet the needs of Korean customers. Furthermore, he will spearhead improvements in operational efficiency and the enhancement of the customer experience, striving to realize the values of inclusion and trust as well as build a sustainable digital society.
Shin Gyu-sik, CEO of Lenovo Korea, has led Lenovo's growth over the past five years by providing computing, storage, networking, solutions, and services in Korea at Lenovo Global Technology Korea. He began his career in the IT industry as an application engineer in 1996 and has accumulated extensive expertise over 28 years. Prior to joining Lenovo, he demonstrated his expertise in the computer hardware industry at global companies such as Dell, Schlumberger, and Sun Microsystems' U.S. headquarters. He earned a master's degree in semiconductor physics from Kyung Hee University.

Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
