Schneider Electric (Korea Branch CEO Kim Kyung-rok), a global leader in digital innovation in energy management and automation, is building a new smart factory to meet growing product demand driven by the accelerated energy transition and increased self-reliance in Europe.

Schneider announced on the 25th that it will invest 40 million euros (approximately 57.8 billion won) to start construction of a new smart factory in the Dunavecse region of Hungary.

The new smart factory is the 36th smart factory completed in Europe, and will be built on 25,000 square meters of land with approximately 500 employees.

Our products include primary and secondary distribution boards, low-voltage cabinets and components, and SF6 Free AirSeT medium-voltage distribution boards, all of which are custom-made.

Scheduled for completion in 2024, the plant will power the site through geothermal and solar energy, and maximize energy efficiency through Schneider Electric's energy management solution, EcoStruxure, to achieve net-zero emissions at the plant.

Schneider Electric's new smart factory will feature electric charging infrastructure capable of charging 30 electric vehicles and 25 e-bikes, as well as a rainwater harvesting system. Install office sensors to control lighting and air conditioning to reduce energy waste, and install air locks to prevent heat loss at truck loading/unloading stations and entrances.
