In the first episode discussing eco-friendly energy storage systems in celebration of Earth Day 2023, we will focus on the necessity, potential, and future of energy storage systems, as well as the various components and battery chemistry that make them up.

Industry experts estimate that 20% of the energy produced in the United States today comes from wind and solar power, but since renewable energy is not yet a reliably supplied energy source, it is necessary to build energy storage systems so that only the amount of electricity needed can be used.

This discussion takes place on EIT's popular podcast, 'The Tech Between Us,' and is led by Raymond Yin, Director of Technology Content at Mouser. In the first part of this three-part podcast on eco-friendly energy storage, Raymond Yin engages in an insightful conversation with Dr. Imre Gyuk, Director of the Energy Storage Laboratory at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), regarding the importance of global renewable energy collection and storage to secure a connected grid system through long-term, sustainable power.
