VMware announced on the 15th that its software, 'vSphere v8.0' and 'vSAN v8.0', received the GS (Good Software) certification level 1 from the Software Testing and Certification Laboratory of the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of Korea.

GS certification is a system that grants software quality certificates and quality certification marks to products that meet the software quality certification standards announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT pursuant to Article 20 of the Software Promotion Act to ensure the quality of software products and promote their distribution.

To this end, GS Certification evaluates and certifies software quality, including functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, and security, based on the international standards ISO/IEC 25023, 25041, and 25051.

Products that have obtained certification are supported by direct contracts with purchasing agencies through the conclusion of third-party unit price contracts with the Public Procurement Service and registration on the National Marketplace. Additionally, it is designated as a technology development product with priority purchase when ordering public institutions' projects.

It provides enterprise-class storage services through seamless integration with Vsphere 8, enhanced management and I/O performance, policy-based storage allocation and capacity efficiency optimized for cloud environments, high availability through extended clusters, and data protection and encryption capabilities.

Additionally, VMware vSphere 8 supports the latest TLC storage devices, providing future-proof infrastructure with up to four times better performance.
