Mouser Electronics, an authorized global distributor of the latest semiconductors and electronic components, is supplying new regulators for noise-sensitive applications.

Mouser announced on the 5th that it is supplying Analog Devices (ADI)'s LTM8080 μModule® regulator product.

The LTM8080 is an ultra-low noise dual-output DC/DC μM module regulator based on patented silicon, layout, and packaging innovations, and is specifically designed to reduce switching regulator noise in data converters, RF transmitters, FPGAs, operational amplifiers, transceivers, medical scanners, etc.

ADI’s LTM8080 μModule regulator, supplied by Mouser Electronics, features an integrated front-end, high-efficiency, synchronous Silent Switcher® step-down regulator and consists of two separate low-noise, low-dropout (LDO) regulators.

To further suppress switching noise, the LTM8080 package incorporates an EMI barrier shield to achieve excellent low noise characteristics, with less than 1μVRMS in the 10Hz to 100kHz range, a spot noise of 2nV/μHz at 10kHz, and a PSR (power cut-off ratio) of 80dB at 100kHz.

Compared to discrete solutions without EMI shielding, the LTM8080 reduces output ripple voltage by up to 70%, enabling a simple and quiet design.It enables manifestation.

The LTM8080 module regulator, which operates with input voltages ranging from 3.5V to a maximum of 40V, has a built-in voltage tracking function that automatically sets VBUS to a value 1V higher than the nominal 2.5V or VOUT1, thereby achieving excellent noise performance.

The LTM8080 provides a medium power bus adjustable to 3.3V/0.5A and dual output 0.5A LDO regulators, and the package includes supporting components such as a controller, power switch, and inductor.

The LTM8080 is available in a small (9mm × 6.25mm × 3.32mm) overmolded Ball Grid Array (BGA) package with improved thermal performance, making it suitable for automated assembly using standard surface mount equipment and RoHS compliant.

The LTM8080 μModule regulator is supported on the Analog Devices (ADI) DC3071A evaluation board, available from Mouser Electronics. The DC3071A evaluation board provides example application circuits based on the LTM8080 μModule, enabling rapid prototyping when integrated into existing designs.
