With Samsung Electronics’ Exynos Auto being supplied to Hyundai Motor, cooperation between Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor in the field of automotive infotainment is expected to be strengthened.


Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that it will supply the 'Exynos Auto V920,' a processor for premium in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), to Hyundai Motor Company. The two companies plan to cooperate with the goal of supplying the product by 2025.

The 'Exynos Auto V920' is Samsung Electronics' premium IVI processor that delivers an optimal mobility experience with significantly improved performance compared to the previous generation, supporting not only real-time driving information but also entertainment elements such as high-definition multimedia playback and high-spec gaming.

In particular, this product is a deca-core processor equipped with 10 of Arm's latest battlefield central processing units (CPUs), and CPU performance has improved by about 1.7 times compared to the existing one.

In addition, it supports high-performance, low-power LPDDR5, enabling fast and efficient control of up to 6 high-resolution displays and 12 camera sensors.

Samsung Electronics also incorporates a next-generation Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) based on the latest graphics technology, providing graphics processing performance up to twice as fast as before. Through this, users can experience high-spec games as well as more realistic graphical user interfaces (GUI).

Samsung Electronics has applied the latest computing cores to the 'Exynos Auto V920,' enhancing Neural Processing Unit (NPU) performance by approximately 2.7 times. It provides a safer driving environment for users by rapidly assessing the surroundings, as well as offering driver monitoring functions that recognize the driver's voice and detect their status.

In addition, the Exynos Auto V920 supports the Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL), a safety standard for automotive systems, providing high stability by preventing system malfunctions that may occur during vehicle operation.
