Hanwha Systems showcased its total solution for marine weapon systems and showed off cutting-edge weapon solution technologies, including low-orbit communication satellites.

Hanwha Systems participated in the MADEX (International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition) held at BEXCO in Busan from June 7th to 9th.

This exhibition will present the capabilities of the Marine Manned/Unmanned Complex System (MUM-T) and the vision of a ‘Smart Battleship’, and will focus on revealing technologies in low-orbit communication satellites, maritime unmanned systems, ship combat systems, and anti-drone systems.

The communication systems that can build a military low-orbit communication satellite network were exhibited, including the OneWeb satellite network, the advanced digital communication repeater (OBP, On-Board Processor), the electronically steerable antenna (ESA, Electronically Steerable Antenna), and the inter-satellite laser communication system (ISL, Inter Satellite Link).

Marine unmanned systems are key forces in future battlefields to minimize loss of life, including anti-ship warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and anti-mine warfare. The exhibits include the 12m-class unmanned surface vehicle 'Sea GHOST' capable of coastal search and rescue and surveillance and reconnaissance missions, an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle (Docking AUV) for underwater exploration, an anti-submarine reconnaissance unmanned underwater vehicle (ASWUUV), and a next-generation mine clearance disposal vehicle based on autonomous navigation.

Integrated Combat System (ICS) The strengths of the Unmanned Surface Vehicle Combat System (USVCS) include the ability to integrate and operate unmanned surface vehicles and unmanned submarines, which previously had to be controlled individually, into a single combat system, and the ability to rapidly apply the latest technology through a modularized and shared design based on an open structure.

Hanwha Systems, Korea's only specialized company in developing combat systems (CMS) for ships, is supplying combat systems for various vessels of the Republic of Korea Navy, including large landing ships, destroyers, frigates, and submarines, and recently recorded its fourth combat system export to the Philippine Navy.

The 'Drone Complex Protection System' solution, an anti-drone system to defend against illegal drone threats such as North Korean unmanned aerial vehicles, was also exhibited.

The 'Drone Composite Protection System' solution is an integrated solution consisting of △Radar △Thermal Imaging Equipment (EO/IR) △Jammer △Drone Hunter △Integrated Operation Device that can track and identify small drone targets when detected, neutralize them through jamming, and even capture the drone.
