Gcore is making a full-scale entry into the domestic AI and cloud market. Gcore plans to appoint a Korean branch manager within the year and establish a region in Korea in October with the goal of launching its first H100 GPU service.

Z-Core, a global public cloud and edge computing company, held a press conference on the 23rd and announced that it would make a full-scale entry into the domestic cloud market.

Thomas Ziva, Director of Global Channel Partnerships and Alliances, stated, "Z-Core, which started in the gaming industry, will focus on AI based on its accumulated know-how and aggressively enter the Korean market by leveraging its unique edge cloud infrastructure."

Z-Core, headquartered in Luxembourg, is a provider of public cloud and edge computing, content delivery, hosting, and security solutions. Z-Core's global network supports over 140 POPs worldwide, network capacity of over 110 Tbps, average latency of 26 ms, and processing of 2 million transactions per second.

High-performance computing and low-latency inference at the edge are required for AI workloads such as ChatGPT, a recent hot topic. Z-Core possesses an edge network to provide fast network speeds close to customers.

'Z-Core Edge Cloud' provides efficient business solutions based on more than 23 infrastructure and platform services and next-generation hardware, and supports ease of use through a user-friendly control panel and a self-service portal that includes detailed technical documentation and API documentation.

Zcore's edge cloud possesses many features beyond simply serving as a caching server. For example, a Shield server can be created in just 15 minutes. It offers over 30% cost efficiency compared to the three major cloud providers through a pay-as-you-go model.

The 'Z-Core AI Platform' is a cloud infrastructure that accelerates machine learning based on Graphcore IPUs and Nvidia GPUs.

When higher performance is required, it supports not only VMs but also BM (Bare Metal) nodes within minutes. With the ability to select CPUs, IPUs, and GPUs, there is a wide range of options to choose from depending on requirements, and the adoption of the latest hardware models enables high-level natural language learning and inference. It also features an automated platform management system based on Terraform.

The 'Z-Core 5G eSIM Cloud Platform' supports secure and stable connections not only locally but also in 183 countries worldwide.

This enables businesses to meet connectivity and low-latency requirements when scaling services without high-cost infrastructure investment. It provides 5G connectivity worldwide without roaming or SIM card switching, and allows connection to secure networks globally without VPNs or Wi-Fi. All traffic is encrypted and routed through a global core, enabling immediate use with just a QR code scan.

Meanwhile, Z-Core pledged to cooperate with NHN Cloud on new cloud development based on the strengths of both companies' public clouds.

It also focuses on NHN Cloud and the smart factory sector. For example, it resolves connection and security issues that may occur when quality control is performed via Wi-Fi.

CEO Kang emphasized, "Z-Core is differentiated from other companies in that while it originated from CDN, it provides services based on a scalable global edge cloud rather than SaaS."
